1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to LifeGlyph. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether personally or on behalf of an entity) and LifeGlyph ("we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the LifeGlyph website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Services and must discontinue use immediately.

2. Services Description

LifeGlyph provides a digital platform for preserving and organizing travel memories and life events. Our Services include:

• Travel log creation and management with AI-powered location detection
• Life events tracking and timeline visualization
• Photo and media storage and organization
• AI-assisted content processing and categorization
• Data export and backup capabilities
• Premium features available through paid subscription tiers

3. User Accounts

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• Not share your account credentials with others

4. User-Generated Content

4.1 Content Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create, upload, or share through the Services, including travel entries, life events, photos, and other media ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership of your User Content.

4.2 License Grant

By uploading User Content to the Services, you grant LifeGlyph a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, process, display, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of:

• Providing and improving the Services
• Processing your content through our AI features
• Backing up and securing your data
• Displaying your content back to you within the application

4.3 Content Guidelines

You agree not to upload or share User Content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory
• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Violates the privacy or publicity rights of others
• Contains hate speech, discrimination, or promotes violence

4.4 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content you submit.

5. Subscription and Payments

5.1 Free Tier

LifeGlyph offers a free tier with limited features and usage quotas. Free tier limitations include a monthly cap on entries and restricted access to certain premium features.

5.2 Paid Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions ("ADVENTURER" and "LifeScribe") provide enhanced features, increased usage limits, and additional capabilities. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and are non-refundable except as required by law.

5.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers (PayPal and Stripe). By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your chosen payment method.

5.4 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The Services, including all software, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other content (excluding User Content), are owned by LifeGlyph and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software, unless laws prohibit these restrictions or you have our written permission.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Services without authorization
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
• Use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Misuse or abuse our AI features or attempt to manipulate results
• Resell or commercially exploit the Services without permission
• Impersonate another person or entity

8. Content Moderation

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, review, or remove User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We may take these actions without prior notice.

We do not endorse or verify the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any User Content and disclaim all liability related to User Content.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using the Services, you consent to the processing of your data, including User Content, through our AI features for the purposes of providing location detection, content categorization, and other service functionalities.

10. Account Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@lifeglyph.app or through your account settings.

10.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. We may delete your User Content after a reasonable period following termination. We recommend exporting your data before terminating your account.

11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

11.1 Service "As Is"

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11.2 AI Accuracy

We do not warrant that our AI features will be accurate, complete, or error-free. Location detection and content categorization are provided as convenience features and may contain inaccuracies.

11.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIFEGLYPH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through good faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Services.
