We operate on a "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) model. Instead of charging you a high monthly subscription to cover expensive AI costs, we let you use your own Google API keys directly.

Because Google offers extremely generous free tiers, this means most users pay absolutely nothing. See our detailed cost breakdown here.

Yes! Click the Settings/Export icon in the top navigation bar. You can export your diary entries, travel log, and memories to CSV or JSON formats for backup or use in other applications.
We offer a Free tier with a limited number of entries per month, and a Pro tier with unlimited entries. You can view your current usage in the 'Monthly Usage' panel.
Yes, your data is stored securely. We do not share your personal LifeGlyph diary entries, travel memories, or recollections with third parties without your explicit consent.
There is a Sun/Moon icon toggle in the top navigation bar. Click it to switch between the light and dark themes.

To view your travel history on the Map View, you need to provide your own Google Maps API Key. The key is stored locally on your device.

Click here for our easy step-by-step guide on how to get one.

Please note that use of the Google Maps API may incur a separate fee from Google depending on your usage.

To use our advanced AI features (like automated photo analysis and blog generation) beyond the free monthly limit of 20 entries, you need to provide your own Google Gemini API Key. This "Bring Your Own Key" model keeps our service sustainable and low-cost for everyone.

Read our simple guide on how to get your free key here.

Google's Gemini API has a very generous free tier, so for most personal users, this will remain completely free!

Technically, an API (Application Programming Interface) Key is a unique alphanumeric identifier that authenticates requests associated with your project for usage and billing purposes. By using your own key, you are directly authorizing the application to send data to Google's services on your behalf, ensuring that all usage is counted against your personal free tier quotas rather than a shared global limit.
RAW files are complex and vary significantly by camera manufacturer. If your file isn't loading, it's likely because: 1) The specific RAW format from your camera isn't supported by the standard web browser decoder yet, or 2) The file is potentially corrupted or too large for the browser to process. We recommend converting to DNG or High-Quality JPEG for the best experience.
Not directly via email just yet! However, you can easily copy text from your emails or other documents and paste it directly into the 'Add New Memories' description field. That makes it easy to turn old notes into diary entries, travel logs, and recollections.
Yes! Simply paste the website address directly into the 'Paste Text' box in the 'Import Text' tab. Our AI will do its best to interpret the details, but it doesn't always get it 100% right—that's why we let you edit every entry before saving!
The 'Here & Now' button uses your device's GPS to instantly capture your exact location and add it to your log. This feature works best on mobile devices when you are out exploring! Note that we only record when you are at important locations, so it may not create an entry if no significant place is found.
If you paste a Google Maps link and nothing happens, it's likely because the location isn't recognized as a significant point of interest. We automatically filter out generic street addresses or non-tourist locations to keep your log focused on 'interesting' memories, just like the 'Here & Now' feature.
A **Personal Diary** entry is written in the first person ('I', 'We'), focusing on your authentic personal experience, memories, and feelings - like a note to your future self. A **Travel Blog** is written in a polished, third-person editorial style (like Condé Nast Traveler), focusing on the destination's history, atmosphere, and tips to inspire others.
Simply click the small up arrow icon next to the 'Add New Memories' section title. This will collapse the entire section, hiding both the entry form and the statistics panel.
Yes! You can delete photos via the edit mode of an entry. Simply click the pencil icon on any entry to verify, remove, or replace your images.

JPG files are standard, compressed images ready for web display. RAW files are uncompressed data directly from your camera's sensor, known as 'digital negatives.' We have two separate tabs because RAW files are significantly larger and require powerful, specialized processing to decode and view, whereas JPGs can be handled instantly.

If you drag the wrong file type to the wrong tab (e.g., a JPG to the RAW tab), you will see an 'Unsupported file format' error because each tab effectively speaks a different language to process your images correctly.

We use Gemini, Google's most capable and general-purpose AI model, to analyze your photos and text.

The 'Fix Locations' button scans your LifeGlyph entries for places that are missing exact GPS coordinates or Google Maps links. It uses your Google Maps API Key to automatically find the precise location and add a clickable map link to each entry.

Why are locations missing in the first place?

  • You manually typed a location name without selecting a specific place.
  • You imported travel history from older sources without GPS data.
  • The entry was created before you added your detailed Google Maps settings.
  • GPS or internet connection was unavailable when the entry was created.

Life Events are a special feature available exclusively to our LifeScribe tier members. They let you track personal milestones separate from your travel diary entries so your memories stay organised.

To access them:

  1. Look for the Life Events toggle in the top navigation bar (next to 'Travel'). On mobile, open the menu to find it.
  2. Click it to switch views.
  3. Once there, use the Add New Memories button to log your milestones and recollections!
